Role Summary:
A Cashier serves to provide a personalized customer experience to every guest ensuring our Recipe for Service standard is met. This individual must have a passion for service, excellence and people. A Cashier reports directly to the Team Leader on duty. The cashier will be directly responsible for implementing our Recipe for Service, believing that it should be executed by every member of the restaurant team. This Cashier must be willing to follow the instructions of the Team Leader with a sense of urgency and good attitude. Must also be an expert at the Core 4, speed of service and suggestive selling. A Cashier is a restaurant sales builder.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Must possess the ability to work quickly and efficiently multi-tasking when needed
Operational excellence delivered all day everyday
Executes Second Mile Service at all times
Creates emotional connections with guests
Carries trays to tables for guests with needs and children
Exhibits the Core 4 all day everyday
Upholds all policies and Quality/Standards
Creates a culture desiring to set next shift up for success in Front of House (no us vs, them)
Strives to maintain a healthy working relationship with back of house
Engages customers in conversation as soon as they enter the restaurant
Enthusiastically and promptly makes eye contact and greets every customer in dining room
Assists with the customers needs
Solicits feedback from guests showing that we care Were your waffle fries hot?
Suggests our delicious desserts
Solves any guest problems immediately
Acknowledges all customers waiting in line even while serving the customer in his/ her line
Serves as a "Sales Builder" for the restaurant - not just an Order Taker
Constantly and consistently offers Suggestive Selling Upgrades Will that be a large?
Recommends new products or additional items deluxe? Bottled water?
Must be able to remember customers so the orders are delivered to the proper tables
Transitions without prompting typing names on orders to find guests quickly during peak times
Re-stocking front counter, (and drive thru area if needed)
Flexible to move as needed to help with team member breaks
Takes initiative to assist in another position as needed in drive-thru, dining room or board
Example - if there are very few or no customers at counter, and we are in the red, offer to jump in and help assemble or expedite
Carry catering orders out to the car for the customer.
